    Stanley Mouse
    Flying Eyeball Zippo Lighter
Rick Griffin created the legendary Jimi Hendrix “Flying Eyeball” 1968 poster which is probably the most sought after Griffin poster for its iconic, psychedelic Rick Griffin imagery and color
The Grateful Dead, great admirers of Griffin’s work, requested that he create a poster for them, which became the iconic album cover for Aoxomoxoa in 1969. Rick’s lettering, surely the most associated with 1960’s psychedelia, had its roots in his earlier work as a comic book artist for surfer mags and Zap Comix, among many others -  A version of Griffin's Flying Eyeball showed up on many Grateful Dead Backstage Passes
Griffin would continue to create art for the Dead until his untimely early death in 1991, including seminal images for Wake of the Flood, Without A Net, and their Twentieth and Twenty-Fifth Anniversaries. Throughout his work for the band, his vision of striking iconographic imagery imbued with deep spiritual roots unifies a sprawling corpus that is considered one of the most critically important and highly prized bodies of psychedelic art
Artist Stanley Mouse adapted his old friend and colleague Rick Griffin's iconic Flying Eyeball image for this Beautiful illustration. Mouse's version pays tribute to Griffin while putting his own individual stamp on this well-known image
This Flying Eyeball design adorns the 1974 Monster T-Shirt released by Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse as well as their Monster Corporation of Mill Valley, California Business Card and also used for Hank Harrison's Book on The Grateful Dead, "THE DEAD"
