    Description

Presented is an antique, American coin or sterling silver ladle made during the mid 19th century. This Aesthetic Movement piece was probably made by Gorham or John Wendt, it is definitely reminiscent of their work. The pierced ladle could be used as a berry strainer or oyster serving ladle. The handle is done in Seal Top pattern and the top is finely hand engraved with a Gothic/Victorian script monogram of the letter F. The shell shaped or scalloped bowl has a fine gold wash.
This piece is guaranteed to be at least 900 purity silver.
This piece is in great overall condition, especially considering age.
    Length: 8 1/8 inches.
Weight: 66 grams or 2.3 ounces.
